Vayati Weaves
opportunity
Gadwal sarees, one of India’s most exquisite breed of garbs, famous for their intricately handcrafted designs, have been a dying art over the past decades due to challenges such as industrialization, mass production, and rapid decrease of skilled weavers. In a journey to revive the legend of Gadwal sarees, we restored the original processes of handcrafting the sarees the way they were always meant to be crafted.

BRAND STORY
Vayati in Sanskrit means ‘weave’, referring not only to the process of saree-making but also to the myriad stories woven into them. An initiative by Machani Group, Vayati Weaves aspires to empower weavers and revive the dying craft of weaving in Andhra Pradesh by offering weavers a 200% increase in revenues and involving them in the designing process. These progressive measures bring weavers a good standard of living. Vayati Weaves also connects the weaver community to the urban market. By offering authentic Gadwal Sarees with 5% gold zari, the highest possible ratio in the industry, Vayati Weaves seeks to recapture the age-old tradition of passing precious family heirlooms across generations by weaving the most authentic handcrafted legacy sarees in the world.
